We had a great time on the NYC trip December 16-19. The accommodations were in a perfect location mid town and the excursions were fun and well timed. The people participating were a friendly group and the tour guide and drivers were professional but also very approachable and personable. We will definitely recommend to others and look at going on another trip in the future. 

2025 Kentucky Bourbon and Caves

It was a fine trip. Definitely not what I expected for a tour and planned trip. The tour guild didn’t guide much or seem super knowledgeable. Seemed more unorganized than expected

I had a great time, the trip was well organized. The accommodations were very comfortable. Were able to see and do lots of activities on the trip also met-some wonderful people.. Bourbon and caves was an excellent trip. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed every moment- busy all the time with so many fun, interesting and knowledgeable activities.

Great trip.  Covered a lot in a short period of time.   Very organized.

My daughter had an amazing experience in DC. There were a ton of kids and they packed it all in, masterfully handling all logistics. They exceeded our expectations.

2025 Metro DC

Loved the itinerary and all we were able to do and see in a short trip. The 9/11 museum was especially cool because we got to see what we learned in class. Had a great time and made some new friends!

The student who went said the trip was a 10/10. She got to see many great spots for her first trip to NYC. 

Hello Lusia. Thank you for sharing your son's concerns about the trip he was on. Your feedback helps us to make decisions about our vendors for future tours. As to your specific concerns:  

When you requested the change of his room from a regular room to a suite so that he could have his own bed, we did explain that it's a sofa hide-a-bed which are not as comfortable as a regular mattress. Prime Tours contracts with schools for quad occupancy rooms (2 Queen beds) and we guarantee each student has the opportunity to sleep in a bed. When students choose to sleep on the sleeper sofa, it is a choice they selected, as there was a spot for him in one of the beds. 

In regard to the rooms, we will follow-up with the hotel to see if there was a cleaning/maintenance issue that they are aware of. Unfortunately, since it wasn't addressed at the time, it is very difficult to determine what the issue was. I understand that students often don't understand that they need address their concerns to adults in charge who could have easily requested a remedy. We reached out to the tour director and he said no adults or students came to him with any hotel concerns. This is not to say it wasn't true, simply to say we can't address what isn't verbalized. We will follow up with the guides who stayed at this hotel this tour season to see if they had similar observations which could mean the hotel is going downhill. 
We have used this hotel in the past and it receives 4.1 star out of 594 Google reviews, which is an acceptable star rating. 
We do hope he enjoyed the tour and learned a lot, and are sorry that the hotel was an issue.

The hotel was terrible !. The mattress of the couch was so thin that you could feel the metal of the frame. The towels were so filthy, there were holes and stains. Once the kids checked in to the room, they noticed hairs on the sink, which meant the sink was not cleaned thoroughly, or probably had not been cleaned since the last guest. There were cockroaches, bugs, and beetles in the room. The bathroom door could not be locked, already filed a complaint, but it has never been fixed. The swimming pool water was so dirty.
Very disappointed and unhappy with all that happened with this hotel.

We appreciate your child's review of his trip. This trip was majority parent-led, so I'm not certain what adult he was asking about the historical information. And, well, musuems are definitely a matter of person taste. Glad you enjoyed the show. Getting to attend a Broadway show as a young person is definitely a special event.

It was great especially Aladdin but some parts were a little boring like the museums. Most of the teachers were nice some were a little uneducated about 911 and other stuff.

We had a great time. There were SO MANY cool museums.
Our tour guide, Mac used quiz questions and prizes to make our time at the museums & other destinations more engaging.

Learned about an area I had little knowledge about. 
Difficulty with my knees getting on and off the bus but staff and bus drivers were very helpful. Other travelers were patient.

2025 1000 Stories of The 1000 Islands

My son went on an 8th grade trip to Washington, DC, which was well planned and executed. It was worth the cost.

My daughter had a great time on her Washington DC trip 

The kids had a great time. The days were packed with many experiences and adventures. I would recommend this trip for other students in the future.

The trip was fantastic!
The itinerary was made in timely manner and not boring. Well planned trip!
But one thing I’d like to suggest to get to know people during the trip. Leader didn’t say to Introduce by self while dinning or in the bus.,

Students had a great trip: safe, on time, nice places and lots of memories. 

My goodness what a well written student review. Writing is definitely your fortee. I wanted to answer your question about the African American History Museum. I agree with you, it is a really striking building. The curators of that museum did a spectucalar job. For whatever reason when the museums were chosen by the school, that museum wasn't on the list. It appears your school did the Holocaust Museum, and generally schools choose one of the other. There are so many museums in DC there simply isn't time to see them all. Hopefully you will have another opportunity in the future to visit our nation's capital and take in sites you didn't get to see this time. Best of luck to you. I think those writing skills will take you far.

It was a great trip, spectacular learning experience and had a blast with my friends. Great chance for our generation to explore what it's like outside of our home state, and I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone that has the chance and the money. The only con is that I wish we could have visited the National Museum of African American History and Culture, we passed by it a few times on the trip and I wondered why we never went considering it's one of the most visually pleasing buildings to look at in Washington D.C. from what I've seen, but other than that this is a 10/10. 

2025 Jackson MS DC

This was my first bus trip and I enjoyed it; it was a shame the weather wasn't sunshine but the group was friendly .  I think the schedule could have been a little better, the landfill could have been skipped especially we are not in Franklin county.  Smoky Bones restaurant was not prepared to serve that amount of people at one time and we got behind.  Going to a local place that was known for one or two dishes they were good doing and appreciate the business.   Spend more time at German Village and walk to the little shops & eat at Schmidt's if wanted.

2025 Bob's Mystery Day Trip

My daughter went on a class trip to DC with Prime Tours and she had a great time! She said the tour guide Steve was amazing, and very educational! Well worth the money spent!

Our son had a great time in DC!! Everything was well organized and efficient.

Enjoyable mystery trip with a friendly and cheerful group. Great way to meet other travelers and share experiences. Cathy & Bob went out of their way to ensure that all of us enjoyed our 4 tours. They also provided a bag of mystery clues and candy. Thank You!

We had a great time..   Enjoyed the stops.  Restaurants were good.  Enjoyed the tour thru German Village where we got famous Schmidt’s Cream Puff pastries.  



from beginning to end everything seemed to work out perfectly....our hosts were great and the locations that we went to were all very informative.... basically a great trip

It's an interesting thing that you and some others didn't enjoy the landfill, as nearly all of our central Ohio senior centers have done trips there and when I did this mystery trip with our folks it was rated as top 2 of the sites we visited.

2025 Pioneer Trails and Texas Tales

We had a great time thank you for letting us experience.

We had a fantastic time. An interesting mix of past and present history of two states, from facts and tv shows.
People on the tour were fun, food delightful and weather cooperative.

My daughter said she had a fantastic time! Once in a lifetime trip and we are so glad she got to experience it!

2025 Blendon DC

The bus was really clean and had lots of room to move around, our bus driver was super friendly and fun! Everything regarding the bus was great, I'm sorry our driver had to live through the back few rows. It was a rough crowd. Overall, the experience on the bus was really good!! (Watching movies was also fun!)

The whole itinerary was well planned out to cover as many sites and nice places to stay plus museums and eateries along the way.

Tour was very well planned and executed.  Hotels were clean and comfortable.   Bus driver was fantastic. 

2025 Delaware Christian DC

The trip with Saint Mary's of Delaware was well-organized and thoughtfully planned. We truly maximized our time in Washington, D.C., making the most of every moment from morning until night. Not a second was wasted!

I highly recommend experiencing D.C. this way—having everything arranged allowed us to see all the major sights without worrying about parking, meals, or accommodations. We Travel did a fantastic job handling every detail, making the trip seamless and enjoyable.

2025 Delaware St. Mary Washington D.C.

This trip packed a lot into a short time. I think we saw almost all there was to see in our nation’s capital. Our tour guides, Larry and Tom made the trip phenomenal. They were full of information and very knowledgeable about all of the details. They accommodated our children and held them to expectations that would reassure any parent unable to attend. If your child is going on a school trip with this group, know that they are in good hands and are well cared for. I’m very happy with my experience and grateful that I had the opportunity to attend this trip with Prime Tours. Thank you for the incredible memories.

2025 Westerville North A.P. Trip to D.C.

Dear Alice, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We are sorry this tour disappointed you. I am a bit confused about your comment that you "did not expect to be in a group." Perhaps that is what created the disconnect. The flyer is clear that you would be riding in a motorcoach and mentions group meals and activities. So if you weren't expecting a group tour, it's also likely that you weren't expecting that the group would have some people that moved faster than others, and participating with a walker in a large city tour during the busy holiday season does have a tendency to feel rushed, no matter how gently paced the guide makes it. 
In regard to activities that disappointed, that can happen sometimes where something isn't what you expected. Our beautiful Lady Liberty is meant to impress with just her sheer size, and the museum shares her history. 
About communication, Kevin, who has 12+ years of tour guiding experience including over a dozen tours to NYC, said he passed around the itinerary so you could take a picture of it and went over it each day, which is standard on all our tours. And on the return, the traffic jam which had traffic at a standstill was a frustrating delay which was outside of Evan's control or pre-knowledge but is simply a potential part of any travel. In the future, we will suggest our guides share how long delays are going to be whenever they can. 
We are saddened to have lost your future travel business, but do hope, if you choose to do any other group tours, that they will be more suited to your travel expectations.

Disappointing in the fact that the tour guides did not wait to gather the group as we got off the bus and then rushed the "stragglers."  This was a trip that was discovered through a senior center, and I did not expect to be in a rushed group. The high light was the Radio City Music Hall and the Rockettes, the most boring was arriving at the Statue of Liberty and nothing but a gift shop and museum, although the ferry was fun.  Ellis Island was a good experience.
The communication of daily activities really needs to be improved.
Kevin was very good at narratives of sites and of keeping us aware of things on the coach while traveling.  Evan did not bother to alert as to why the delay when traveling back to Ohio when he took over for Kevin. Tour guides Evan and Laurie were often rude, rushing and not communicative, they certainly need to work on their people skills. 
I likely will not recommend Prime Tours.

2024 Vandalia and Columbus New York Holiday

Hello Margaret. Thank you so much for sharing your feedback on this tour. I certainly understand how you feel about the long ride. NYC is a long way by coach. I will follow up with staff about their answer for breakfast and instruct them that a more appropriate answer for the future is that we try to stop at places (like truck stop style gas stations that have multiple stalls and grab and go food options) but that is not always possible. I always suggest bringing snacks/food bars for your own comfort on every tour.
I also understand about feeling rushed in NYC. Traveling as a group always involves compromise where some people are ready to go and others haven't seen enough. Add to that, the bustle of NYC particularly during the holidays and it really is in the nature of this Level 3 tour. Your example of the Statue of Liberty is a perfect example. We had another guest comment that she was bored there without enough to do. It really is a matter of preference. 
And yes, the delay on the return was unfortunate but unavoidable. We have compared notes with our previous NYC Holiday tours where the itinerary was pretty much identical, and really felt that the traffic, both highway and in the city, was a huge contributing factor this year. We are sorry it impacted your tour. Not all tours are as intense as NYC during the holidays, and we hope you will consider joining us on a future Level 1 or 2 tour perhaps a bit closer to home in order to provide a gentler pace to the tour.

We had a great time overall.  I underestimated how tedious the bus ride would be.  I called to check if breakfast would be available to buy at the first rest stop and understood that it would be.  However only vending machines were available.  Another rest stop was at a gas station and there were only two women’s stalls which was inadequate.   The places we visited in New York were great but I constantly felt rushed.  I loved seeing the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island but didn’t have enough time to see the movie or do the audio tour. I’d rather see fewer places and have more time to enjoy them.  The same was true at the 9-11 memorial.  I felt like I walked quickly through the museum without being able to read and absorb the exhibits.  The Rockettes were great as was the tour of Radio City.  On the ride back there was a 1 1/2 hour delay due to road construction.  We were literally at a standstill.   I saw it coming on the map on my phone and wondered if there couldn’t be an alternate route to avoid this.  The place we stopped for dinner had only two restaurants plus a donut and coffee shop.  By the time we got our food there was only about 15 minutes to eat.  Again I felt rushed.  I know this sounds like a bunch of complaints but the trip could be made more enjoyable if it weren’t so rushed.  Thanks.
